While the world paused global travel, the Orphan Outreach missions department focused on creating a more beneficial experience for those serving with our ministry programs around the world. We developed and launched My Orphan Outreach, an interactive portal providing registration, training, and lots of information for mission teams. The portal offers a more personalized experience for each mission trip leader and participant. The missions department continued to partner with international leadership to ensure mission teams serve in ways that are a true support and benefit to our “boots-on-the-ground” in-country staff, educators, and social workers.
Before mission teams began reengaging with the children and families we serve around the world in 2022, Orphan Outreach determined that U.S.-based staff teams would travel to each country to offer encouragement, learn first-hand how the scope of ministry had evolved due to the pandemic, and to actively seek out new ways of providing support. The impact of new technology and strengthened intentionality of care has benefited the countries and the first missions teams traveling to Latin America and Eastern Europe in 2022.
