Letter from the President

2024 Online Annual Report Images

This summer, I had the privilege of serving with my family on a mission trip to Honduras. It was the first time my 11-year-old daughter had been on a mission team. She begged us to let her serve, and she worked diligently to prove she was ready. The time of service together was beautiful, challenging, emotional, and inspiring.

There is no greater joy than seeing your child find their purpose in life.

At our final debrief, each team member was asked, “What has God made clear to you this week?”

After six days of pouring herself out for others, my daughter smiled and answered.

“I’m meant to serve.”

She shared that she had never felt happier and more fulfilled than when she was serving the kids. As her father, I was so proud. It’s everything I could have asked for.

We are all meant to serve. The Bible tells us we were created “by God and for God,” and He has “good works prepared in advance” for each of us to do.

When we follow God’s leading to serve the orphaned and vulnerable, and serve as we were meant to do, we get to be a part of God’s rescue plan. Together—we see hope restored in lives around the world.

I experienced that firsthand: God moved in my daughter’s heart in ways beyond what I could have hoped for.

This annual report is a testament to what happens when all of us who are created to serve take a step forward. You will read stories about children and families who now have hope because of Orphan Outreach.

Around the world, because of your prayers, gifts, and service, God did IMMEASURABLY MORE. God wants to use each of us for His purposes, in ways that are more than we could imagine.

We know there is no one-size-fits-all solution to the orphan crisis.

Each community we serve has unique strengths and challenges—so our programs are designed to intentionally meet the needs of that community.

We know every child deserves individualized care—so each program adapts to partner with each child and family.

That’s why we make sure these four priorities are woven into the DNA of every Orphan Outreach program, so we can do immeasurably more in the lives of children and families.

Our mission remains the same around the world. Whether it’s a school, an after-school program, a community support center, an aging out program, a children’s home, or a foster care program, we focus on what is in the best interest of each and every child and family we serve.

Thank you for making all of this possible. Thank you for serving alongside us. Because of your support, thousands of lives will never be the same. It’s my prayer that, together, we will do even MORE in the years to come!

For His glory,

Rey Diaz, President
