Getting Started on your mission trip
Thank you for choosing to apply for a mission trip with Orphan Outreach! Please read all details below to know what to expect for this application process.
TIME
- The application should take approximately 30 minutes to fully complete. A progress bar will be visible to indicate remaining parts of the application.
- You are able to stop and save your information and return at a later time to finish your application if needed. Your information will be saved each time you select Next.
APPLICATION FEE
- At the end of the application process, you will submit a $50 application fee. This payment is non-refundable and non-transferable. Your application is not submitted until this payment is made. The application fee does not go towards your total trip cost.
INFORMATION NEEDED
- Medical Information including medications you are currently taking
- Preferred major international airports for domestic departure
- Frequent Flyer information (number and airline)
- Name and contact information for a spiritual reference and personal reference
- Criminal convictions with the charge and date, if applicable
BACKGROUND CHECK
Orphan Outreach is committed to the protection of all persons who are associated with Orphan Outreach, including staff, volunteers and the children it serves. Orphan Outreach mission teams will interact with children of all ages. In recognition of the vulnerability of the children Orphan Outreach serves and the prevalence of crimes against children in general, Orphan Outreach requires a background check.
For your application to be complete and reviewed, this step is required by all applicants, 18 years of age and over. You will be redirected to Turn Technologies to complete this step and will need the following information:
- Social Security Number
- Valid Phone Number
- Valid Email
If there are issues with obtaining your background check with the information provided, Turn may contact you at the email and phone number you provide in their screening process. Please make sure to respond promptly to any requests from Turn to get your background check processed.
A fully submitted application includes the trip application, signed waivers, background check, and $50 application fee. Once all of these items are completed, you will receive an automated e-mail that your application is submitted and a confirmation will be displayed in your My Orphan Outreach account. If you do not receive an email or see in your account that your application is submitted, please double check that everything was completed!
