Orphan Outreach

PROGRAMS COORDINATOR (full-time)

BASIC FUNCTION:

Orphan Outreach is a Christian non-profit serving orphaned and vulnerable children in Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe, and Latin America. Our mission is to glorify Jesus Christ by having a significant, long-term impact on orphaned and vulnerable children, equipping each child for a fulfilling, independent Christian life in their community. The Programs Coordinator will work together with international staff to transmit how Orphan Outreach programs and ministry partners are accomplishing the mission to OO staff and partners. This individual will also be responsible for ensuring that all programs and initiatives are effectively monitored and evaluated to ensure the highest standards of quality and impact. The Programs Coordinator will work closely with country directors and other staff to ensure that data is collected, analyzed, and used to improve program outcomes.


RESPONSIBILITIES/TASKS:

Monitoring, Evaluation, Reporting

  • Develop and monitor monthly quantitative reports and quarterly qualitative reports and stories.
  • Work alongside international staff and Advancement department to drive the flow of information and to create and provide detailed reports for how the funds have been used through reports, submission of grants, and marketing emails.
  • Develop and implement a monitoring and evaluation system for all international programs and initiatives in conjunction with the program team.
  • Ensure the quality and accuracy of all data collected through regular data verification and validation.
  • Analyze data collected from program activities and generate reports to inform program management and decision-making.
  • Collaborate with the development team to produce reports for funders.

Finances

  • Manage and request monthly country wires and monitor against budgets.
  • In coordination with international staff, manage the financials and reporting of special initiatives.

Servant Leadership

  • Assist department staff in meeting deadlines for various tasks and projects as required.
  • Participate in department and staff meetings, organization events and other opportunities.
  • This position may require both domestic and international travel.
  • Other duties as assigned to enhance the ministry of Orphan Outreach.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

NOTE:  These requirements represent minimum levels in order to perform the job on a satisfactory basis.  Candidates must have the ability to satisfactorily perform the essential functions of the job.

Requirements

  • Must be a committed Christian; exhibit Christian principles and values. Involved in a local church and understands the role and value of the church as advocates for orphans.
  • Have a clear understanding of and commitment to Orphan Outreach’s mission and vision.
  • Requires in-depth understanding of a comprehensive field of knowledge. Bachelor’s degree required. Professional or volunteer experience in working with children, child development, social work, nonprofit administration or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Experience working with databases and data management systems.
  • Strong understanding of monitoring and evaluation principles, tools, and methodologies
  • Experience in data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Great appreciation for diverse cultures.
  • At least 3 years of work experience required.

  • Requires ability to work under minimal supervision; must be self-motivated and able to motivate others.  
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and other standard office software.
