Blue Heaven Academy provides a quality English language-based education to vulnerable children living in the community surrounding Aizawl, Mizoram, India. Children who have been denied admission at other facilities due to financial limitations or special needs are welcomed to Blue Heaven.
In many parts of the world, children in marginalized communities often lack access to quality education. The goal of Blue Heaven School is to ensure all children are provided the academic, social, and spiritual resources they need to become strong and independent adults.
Orphan Outreach provides financial and humanitarian support to Blue Heaven Academy. This support enables the school to provide the same calibre of award-winning education to all who attend.
For years, Blue Heaven School was known throughout the state of Mizoram for its academic excellence. But when Siba Pachhau, the school's director, learned that children from the Gan Sabra Home were being denied an education because of their HIV status, she felt called by God to provide those children a safe and caring environment for learning. The school's scope expanded to other marginalized communities, including the children of women who break rocks for a living, often making less than $2 a day. Because of the Christ-centered support of Blue Heaven, children who would normally never have an opportunity to attend school are now excelling in their classes.
