Community Outreach Program
In 2019, Orphan Outreach, along with its Kenyan partner NGO, Yatima Outreach, identified the need to establish an education program for orphaned and vulnerable children in Naisoya, a village located in Narok County in Kenya. The community was identified by the Archbishop of the Anglican Church of Kenya, Jackson Ole Sapit, who knew of its overwhelming need and lack of resources.

Dorcas is enjoying Second Grade and is excited about all she is learning this year. She has been working hard to read storybooks on her own, and she continues to grow in her reading and writing each day. When she’s not in class, Dorcas loves playing hide-and-seek, creating with modeling clay, and spending time with her friends. She also enjoys sharing meals with her parents and siblings. Dorcas is learning that Jesus loves her and that He teaches her to tell the truth. She hopes for peace and love in her home as she continues to grow in her faith.

Solomon brings a lot of joy to his days and loves drawing pictures, singing songs, and spending time with his friends. One of his happiest moments this year was when a friend gave him a puppy, which he was very excited about. In Second Grade, Solomon is doing well and continues keeping up with his lessons. He especially looks forward to learning Bible stories and songs at school and church. Solomon also spends time gardening and planting trees with family and friends, often enjoying those shared outdoor moments. He shares that Jesus has taught him to pray when he feels scared.
