The need for quality support for children who are orphaned doesn’t end when children age out of traditional care. Young adults who age out of orphanages in Russia face unsure futures, and without personalized care, the odds of a thriving adult life are not in their favor. Since 2008, Orphan Outreach has provided a safety net of support to young adults in Russia to help them navigate life independently. Based in St. Petersburg, that work has been done in a number of temporary locations. The staff and more than 44 young adults in the Aging Out Program prayed for God to provide a place for the Aging Out Program to call home.
And God answered. Through your generosity, the Aging Out program now has permanent space for meetings, Bible studies, counseling, and meals around the table. The apartment is open seven days a week and many young adults travel more than two hours for the security, community, and unfailing love of the Lord that can be felt there.
