Floods have ravaged Nepal.
In south Kathmandu, more than 200 people have been killed in catastrophic flooding that has washed away homes, businesses, and roads.
All of the children at Godawari Education Center are impacted.
The flooding has impacted at least 150 families in the Godawari community, including all 50 of the children who are enrolled at Godawari Education Center
- Two of our students have lost their homes entirely.
- Three students can’t return to their homes because they in areas at-risk of further damage.
- Many homes remain underwater; personal belongings, clothes, and beds are ruined by flood waters and mud. Families are desperate for warm blankets and bedding as they seek temporary shelter. It will take weeks to fully assess the extent of the destruction.
- The Godawari Education Center is currently flooded, and our afterschool program has been temporarily closed.
You can restore hope right now.
