The Aging Out Program in Honduras provides a safety net of support to young adults who have aged out of traditional residential or foster care in the country. These young adults often face significant challenges, including gaps in their education, inadequate life skills, complex trauma with insufficient mental health support, limited employment opportunities, and discrimination because of the stigma of that comes with being an orphan or former ward of the state. Each young adult in the program is provided ongoing support and guidance to help them navigate the complexities of education, employment, life skills, relationships, housing, and food.
