As you may know, Gerson lives with his parents and two brothers. His father works in the markets selling radios and his mother sells food to earn a living. He often helps his parents by sweeping and washing the dishes. Those who know Gerson best say that he is a calm young boy. He spends his free time drawing, working out, listening to music, and playing soccer. In fact, soccer is one of his special talents! Gerson is most proud of his current academic level. In the next four years, he hopes to graduate from high school, get into university, and find a job. Gerson dreams of becoming a nurse to help those in need. When asked what he likes most about himself, he answered, "My hair because I can style it." Gerson asks that you would pray for his family and for him to do well in his studies this year. Jennifer lives with her grandmother. She has three siblings, who are all part of the CCC, but they only spend weekends together. She helps her grandmother by making the beds, cleaning, and washing dishes. Those who know Jennifer say that she is social and chatty, quickly befriending others. When asked what she likes most about herself, she answered, "My personality because I like to get along with people." Jennifer spends her free time playing soccer, competing to win the game Uno, and collecting cards or souvenirs she receives. She also likes to paint and make crafts, special talents of hers. Jennifer is proud of herself for almost completing secondary school. Even after the death of her uncle, she could have been discouraged, but she chose to persist and study hard. In the next few years, Jennifer wants to graduate from high school, get into university, and find a job. She dreams of becoming a doctor so she can help people with low resources. Jennifer loves the verse Philippians 1:21. She asks that you would join her in praying for her grandmother's health, her cousins who are dealing with the death of their father, her mother who gets sick often, and her siblings, as they start a new school year.

As you may know, Josue lives with his mother, stepfather, and three siblings, all of which attend CCC programs. His mother works in a lettuce factory and his stepfather works in construction to earn a living. He often helps around the home by making his bed, sweeping, and picking up shoes. When asked what he likes best about himself, Josue replied, "My personality because I am friendly." Those who know him confirm, saying that he is an active and friendly young boy. He is quick to jump into activities with friends, most often playing soccer and basketball. Josue also likes to draw and finds this to be a special talent of his. His artistic skills do not stop there! He can make kites and wooden cars, which is a true gift. Josue is proud of himself for being in seventh grade, as he wasn't sure he would pass sixth grade. In the next four years, he hopes to pass ninth grade and study architectural studies in high school. He dreams of becoming an architect so he can design houses. In the next few years, she hopes to graduate from high school, go to a university, and start a job to help her family. She dreams of becoming a physical therapist in pediatrics to help children. She likes to spend her free time playing board games and making pastries. She also enjoys reading, cooking, learning English, and knitting. Kimberly is most proud of herself for starting high school. She likes that she is disciplined when she sets her mind to things, and she finds herself to be a fast learner. In the next four years, Kimberly hopes to graduate from high school, get into a university, and find a job. She dreams of earning a degree in business administration to have more opportunities to learn and be a professional. She might even start her own business someday! She also likes to memorize songs when she has the opportunity. Yasmin's favorite thing about herself is her long hair because it grows fast. When asked what she is most proud of, she answered, "When I am able to turn in homework on time." In the next few years, Yasmin hopes to complete ninth grade and study auto mechanics. When asked what he was most proud of, he answered, "Being in 7th grade, as I never thought I was going to be able to reach this grade." Brayan works hard for his accomplishments. Within the next few years, he hopes to pass 9th grade and start high school. Brayan dreams of completing school and becoming a lawyer to help people who are innocent in jail. He loves time in Scripture and finds his favorite Bible verse to be Jeremiah 33:3. Brayan asks that you would pray for his studies and protection over his family.
