PRAYER REQUESTS

Guatemala
Pray for the MacArthur Boulevard Baptist Church Team as they prepare to serve in Guatemala April 23-May 1. Pray for the Pastor's Dinner they will be holding in Santiago to minister to local pastors and their wives. 

Honduras
Pray for the team that is currently ministering to the children and families at AFE. They are giving eye exams and loving on kids. Pray for their safe return on April 18.

Classes were held at the dump from January to April, and last Monday students were moved to AFE. Pray for these new students as they transition from the garbage dump to AFE.

Pray for the team from Florida who will serve in Honduras April 24-30. They will be planning and casting the vision for three other teams who will serve there later this year.

India
Orphan Outreach staff member Samson spoke at an Easter celebration event, where participants gave a generous offering to benefit the children's home in Anand. Praise God for His provision.

Russia


We are so thankful for the opportunity to share the Gospel in the orphanages we serve in Russia. We are especially thankful for our staff and the volunteers who spend time sharing their faith and caring for the children in over eight orphanages each week.


Pray for the soon-to-be graduates in all of the orphanages we serve. We have over 100 graduates we would like to provide with towels and kitchen needs upon their graduation so that they have the basic necessities when they are on their own. Please pray for the $30 that is needed per child.


We especially ask for your prayers for our ladies who faithfully serve the children of the hospital with "Hannah's Hands." These ladies spend time each day caring for children who are physically, emotionally and spiritually needy and many with urgent needs. Pray for the children and for the Lord to provide strength and health for the women who faithfully care for them.


Summer Internship
Pray for the Intern Training Weekend coming up April 23-25. Pray that the intern teams would be united in heart, mind, and spirit and would grow in their knowledge of Jesus Christ. Also pray for all the details that need to come together for the weekend.

Orphan Outreach
Orphan Outreach celebrated its third anniversary as an organization last week. Praise God for the three amazing years of ministry He has given. Please continue to pray for the work God has in store and the many lives He desires to transform and conform to the likeness of His Son.

The Christian Alliance for Orphans Summit VI in Minnesota will take place April 29-30. Begin praying for the conference and for all who will be attending. Pray that hearts and minds are open to learning about God's work around the world on behalf of orphans and that people would be moved to action. To learn more and register, click here.
Pray for
Jeyson
in Honduras

Students at AFE are often faced with the temptation to drop out of school to work to support their families and to simply survive. One such student is Jeyson, who is 16 years old and in the 10th grade. He is one of the few guys in his grade. Earlier this year, Jeyson wrote a note to the director of AFE saying he was no longer going to attend AFE because he needed to finish the construction of his house. His older brother persuaded him to leave his studies and work full-time at the dump.

Soon after hearing the news, Wendy, AFE's case manager, visited Jeyson's home and spoke with his  mother, Ana, who wanted him to stay in school so that he wouldn't end up in the dump like the rest of her family. The next day, Jeyson met with Wendy and Director Jessie. Together they were able to reach an agreement so that Jeyson could continue school and also work at AFE in the afternoons two days a week. As a result, Jeyson can pursue his studies to become an engineer and also finish his house.

Praise God for His grace in orchestrating those meetings and for protecting Jeyson from working at the dump. Pray for Jeyson, that he would remain at AFE and be diligent in his studies and responsibilities. Pray that the Lord would continue to use Wendy and the AFE staff to encourage and equip all the students.
