SCRIPTURE VERSE

"With every prayer and petition, pray at all times in the Spirit,

and to this end be alert, with all perseverance and requests for all the saints."
Ephesians 6:18

Luke 24:5-6
“...but the men said to them, “Why do you look for the living among the dead?  He is not here but has been raised!”  Like many Christian holidays into today’s culture there is a tendency to secularize the holiday.  It is interesting that the Greek word for raised is hgerqh and is what is referred to as a “divine passive” emphasizing that Jesus was raised by God.  Luke wanted to be certain that the readers of the gospel knew that this is all about God – His power – His plan – for His glory.  As we celebrate Easter lets never forget that all we are and all we do in ministry is by His power – His plan and for His glory.  We at Orphan Outreach are so thankful for the opportunity to serve with all of you to reach the children the Lord loves so much.  Our prayer is that this Easter will be a very special celebration for you and your families.

Please Pray for
Shainy
in India

Shainy, 14 years old, lives at the Elwin Parekh Children's Home in Anand in the state of Gujurat. She is in the 10th grade and is very intelligent, according to Mainesh Parmar, who runs the home with his wife, Snehlata. Shainy is a true orphan, with neither father nor mother. She shares her story below:

My life was full of pain. My papa died when I was in 5th standard (grade) and mama too left me last year during the summer vacation. She died in an accident. There was nobody to care for me except my brother, who is two years elder than me. We were alone in this very big world. Then, we were with my uncle and aunty but I didn't feel rest in my life. I was crying and crying and didn't want to live.

But I praise the Lord who brought me to this home where I have a very loving papa, mama, and a lot of sisters. They prayed a lot for me and consoled me. This is the place where I have comfort and a deep peace. I am happy now because I have Jesus and his wonderful words. Now I am so good and leading a new life, which I have in Christ Jesus.

I want to serve God in the future through children ministries. Kindly remember me in your prayers.

-Shainy

Praise God for the way He has transformed Shainy's life and brought her from a difficult time of darkness into safety and comfort at the Elwin Parkeh Home. Pray for Shainy, that she would continue to put her trust in the Lord and experience abundant joy and peace.
