Praise God for we are now accredited by the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA) as a nonprofit organization. ECFA standards provide financial accountability and holds us accountable to God in the resources He has given.

PRAYER REQUESTS 

Guatemala
Pray for the team from High Pointe Community Church as they minister in Santiago, Guatemala February 20-28. Pray for their time as they build two homes for families from the Good Shepherd School.

Honduras
Pray for Wendy Figueroa, our new case manager at AFE, as she has had her first training and begins assessing all the students. Pray for wisdom and guidance in her new position.

India
Please remember all the children in our projects in India in prayer as the month of March is when they will be taking their exams.


Continue to pray for the need for staff at Santvana. Dr. Edwards is managing the home with 28 kids in addition to the ministry at the Red Light Area and needs support staff to help with the project.

Praise for a successful trip by Uma and Samson to Anand to visit the girls home. Pray for the development of the Anand Home as they are preparing for major changes in their ministry focus. Pray for finalization of strategic plans for the home and its implementation over the next few months. Also pray as they work on preparations to welcome more orphan children into their care this year.

Please pray that God will in His own special way provide the needed funds for the ministry in India this year as we seek to reach and help more children for His glory.

Russia
Please pray for the girls at Orphanage #14. They have a big interest in the Bible class. Pray that Christ would transform their hearts and they would come to know and rely on Him. Also pray for God's provision over their future.

Please pray for
Maria and her grandchildren
in Honduras

Last December, a team from Florida helped build two brand new houses for two families in the El Buen Samaratino community, near AFE in Tegucigalpa. One of the houses is home to Grandmother Maria and several grandchildren. She is the primary caretaker for these kids, three of whom attend AFE.

Carlos is 9 and Paola is 8. They are both in the 1st grade. Kevin is 7 and in Pre-K. The other grandchildren are too young to attend AFE. Maria has two daughters, one who works at the dump, and the other daughter has left the country and her children. Maria has a huge responsibility but is thankful for the opportunity her grandchildren have to receive not only an education, but the care and love AFE provides.

When Maria works at the dump, Paola takes care of the kids. She is very studious and completes her homework as soon as she comes home from school. In the past, Paola used to steal money to give to her grandmother to try to help the family. However the staff at AFE talked to Paola about this issue and now she does not steal anymore. She has changed her attitude and knows if there is ever a need she can talk to her teachers at AFE.

Wendy Figueroa, AFE's case manager, works one-on-one with students who are struggling in class and have learning challenges. She has been working with Carlos on counting. Before he would skip the number "6." After working with Wendy, Carlos is now able to count all the way to 10. This may seem like a small task, but for Carlos and AFE, this is a great accomplishment that shows he is progressing.

Please pray for this family. Pray that Carlos, Paola, and Kevin would stay in school and continue to learn. They all love AFE and know it is helping them build a better future. Pray for the family's health and protection. Praise God for His provision of a new home that is safer and gives them more room.
